Obtaining a burn permit is now more convenient than ever. You have the option to obtain an electronic burn permit through the North Carolina Forest Service website. Simply click on the NC Forest Service logo below to access the website. On the NC Forest Service website, you can easily fill out the permit application, receive the permit via email, and even print it if necessary.

Please note that the Bath Fire Department does not issue burn permits. All burn permits must be obtained through the North Carolina Forest Service, either online or at one of their authorized locations.

If you have questions about fire safety or burn regulations in our area, feel free to contact us. However, burn permits cannot be obtained at our station.

Please keep in mind that our fire department’s primary focus is responding to emergency calls. There may be occasions when all staff members are out on a call and not present at the station to assist you. We kindly ask for your understanding and encourage you to use the convenient online option for obtaining a permit.
