Bath Volunteer Fire Department is now Accepting Applications for Firefighter Positions.

As an employee of Bath Voluanteer Fire Department, you will respond to various Emergencies.  The firefighter is expected to perform any task that the
emergency situation dictates, including but not limited to structural firefighting, fire alarms, vehicle fires, woods fires, rescue, emergency medical and or other incident response operations. 

Shifts: TBD

Starting Salary:  TBD

Work includes:

  • Performing all firefighting duties to the level of your experience
  • Maintaining Fire Station, Yard and Grounds Maintenance
  • Perform Daily checks on all Fire Apparatus and Equipment
  • Testing of all equipment, fire hose, fire hydrants.

The firefighter will be directly accountable to the fire chief for all work performed.

  • Must Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have  NC Firefighter Certification or Equivalent IFSAC or ProBoard Firefighter II From Another State
  • Current Drivers License
  • NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder Certification
  • Minimum EMT-B NC or National Registry

  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a JRPAT, medical evaluation, drug test, and criminal background check.

  • NC Office of State Fire Marshal Transcripts: Detailed Training Transcript, Summary Transcript, and Classes Remaining Transcript
  • These can be found and printed off the NCOSFM Website https://apps.ncdoi.net/f?p=305:1 
  • Copies of your ICS (NIMS) Certifications: 100,200,700,800, and others if you have them
  • Copies of all your Fire or Emergency Service Related Certifications (All Certifications)
  • Copy of your EMT Certification
  • Copy of your Driver’s License
